Summer II

As the long days of warm sunshine meet the shorter days and cooler nights, soon arrives the harvest time.

Yes, in this part of the world, at this time of year, people are wrapping up their summer activities, vacations, BBQs, getting the kids back in school, and the start of football season, you name it.  Amidst all the action, the earth continues to shift on its axis, naturally, like the most precise clockwork balanced on a scale spanning billions of years.

And we humans and inhabitants of the earth have all kinds of things we look forward to each and every season, those marked by the world changing around us.  Then there are those moments, when you simply just take a break from it all, to kick back, relax, and witness the gentle clockwork motion in action.

The point when the Earth clearly meets the Sky, during a Summer Sunset.

To those in lands of changing seasons, I wish you a happy and healthy First Day of Autumn.
In the days ahead, may you find moments to savor nature in all its glory.

  2. Farewell Summer…

  3. Just as you are getting ready for the nice cool months we here in australia are gearing up for one very hot summer. Today was a crazy day in Sydney with the worst dust storm in 70 years. This morning i woke up and thought i was on mars. The sky, the earth and everything in between was red and dusty. Luckily its now 6pm and the skies are clear…who knows what to expect tomorrow??
