These popular toys, which transform from an object into a robot, have been favorites of kids and adults alike since the first part of the 1980s. They were so well received that comics, after-school cartoon series and a feature length animated movie were produced for its widespread audience.
Jump forward to The 21st Century. Transformers are still as popular as ever. New releases of the classic Autobots and Decepticons, along with new characters are in high demand, now being produced by the toy/game giant Hasbro. Much of this buzz sparked by two new live-action style movies from the minds of many talented people, including those of Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay.

Children–and grownups–of all ages have long played with and collected vehicle and futuristic toys. Combining them so they “transformed” into each other was a stroke of genius.
Now toy and movie technology have come together and Optimus Prime is a mega movie star. Back in the day, who would have guessed?

It never ceases to amaze me how things like this go in cycles. Star Wars, Transformers, GI Joe(new movie coming), X-Men, just to name a few. I find it comperable to the 45 year old man buying the “classic” car he had when he was 16. We all find ways to re-live our misspent youths. This is another of those. AND I LOVE IT!!!
